TURBU Editor (In-progress) Last updated: 10-25-2011
The installer for the TURBU editor package. It’s currently under development and can’t do everything yet, but it will open all (hopefully!) RPG Maker 2000/2003 projects, import them successfully, and allow you to edit all the maps, create new ones, or delete maps from the project. It will also display map objects (events) and the scripts attached to them, and allow you to place a hero on the map and make him walk around. Music and sound playing is supported, and should work on almost any audio format. Work on map object editing is currently in progress.
Soundtrack Preview Last updated: 06-18-2011
A few songs from the soundtrack currently under development.
TURBU Package Last updated: 4-17-2008
This installer contains the latest evaluation version of the Map Viewer, plus the Map Evaluator and helpfile.
The Map Viewer is part of what will eventually become two separate programs: the TURBU game engine and the RPG Maker 2000/2003 project importer. It currently supports viewing almost any RPG Maker 2000 or 2003 map, displaying the tile map, the background, and the events properly, and playing background music. You can scroll around the map by clicking the mouse, or right-click to place a hero on the map, who can walk around and activate events with the <ENTER> key. You can access the menus with the <ESC> key. All the menus are now coded, except for the Save menu, which will be one of the last things implemented. There’s also a debug console window that can be accessed with the spacebar. Information about it, and the scripting language it gives you access too, can be found in the enclosed helpfile.
The Map Evaluator is the TURBU editor in embryo. Right now it displays various map properties, and allows you to view a map’s events, both in RPG Maker’s familiar event style and translated into RPG Script. The interface should look familiar to you.
